My Cousin's Son by Greg Miller appeared in the Winter 2013 issue of
The Virginia Quarterly Review. Another poem by the same poet,
In the Dora Maar House, appeared in the same issue and was reviewed in
Songs of Eretz on January 23, 2013.
My Cousin's Son, or at least most of it, reads like a eulogy dedicated to the untimely death of a man about whom the poet must have cared deeply. As with
Dora Maar, Mr. Miller once again demonstrates his mastery of describing a setting. A sometimes wistful, sometimes sombre tone permeates the piece.
