Review of Base Camp by Tom Healy

Base Camp by Tom Healy was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on February 26, 2013.  The poet reveals in his notes that his poem was inspired by a one-month journey across the Himalayas.  The harshness of that environment is apparent in his imagery, and a mood of fear and adventure is woven into the poet's philosophical musings.
