Review of Detail of the Hayfield by Richard Siken
Detail of the Hayfield by Richard Siken was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on February 8, 2013. In his notes, the author reveals that Detail is a companion piece to a longer "landscape" poem. The poet's aim with Detail is to immerse the reader in the "landscape" rather than show it to the reader from a bird's eye perspective.
