Gil Dreamt About Zombies and Women by Michaelsun Knapp appeared in issue #21 (December 1, 2012) of the quarterly ezine NewMyths.com.  It is said that one can live an entire lifetime in the span of a single cycle of REM sleep.  Mr. Knapp explores this concept in his poem about the hapless Gil who, in a dream, lives the life of a zombie hunter with a beautiful woman by his side.  If I had his dream, I would roll over and look at my beautiful wife and thank God again that she married me (of all people).  Gil has quite a different response that I will not spoil by revealing here.
