Review of Twilight Aeronauts by Joshua Gage
Twilight Aeronauts by Joshua Gage appeared in the January 2013 issue of Star*Line. Mr. Gage creates haunting imagery in his semi-rhyming free verse offering. The idea of fairies fashioning wings out of what "humans toss away" is refreshingly original, as is the idea that there are two classes of these mythical creatures--"the pretty fairies" and "the rest." The setting, presumably in 19th century England, creates the perfect mood, as does the use of archaic words such as "eventide."
