New Greeting Card Poem: Graduation 4
Graduation from high school or college doesn't just happen. The student must make many sacrifices in order to achieve that goal. Many were the times I spent in the library instead of partying with friends. Many were the times that I could have cheated, or cheated myself by not doing my best, but I refrained. Some days I was so sick that I could barely stand, but somehow I kept on going and attended class or performed my duties as a medical resident. Was it worth the price? Most probably think so; I am not so sure. But for those of us who paid the price, graduation means more than those who didn't will ever know. The fourth in my series of greeting card poems for the graduate touches on these themes.
