Review of "A Diamond in the Sky" by Jamie Lackey

"A Diamond in the Sky" is a piece of flash fiction that appears in One Revolution, a collection of short fiction by Jamie Lackey published in 2012.  "An accident leaves an astronaut stranded in space, alone and with no hope of rescue."

This one is a tear-jerker, obviously.  I feel like going back and re-reading "May Flowers."

An interesting question is posed.  What would you do in that situation?  An actual astronaut told a reporter once that he would use every last second of his air trying to figure out a way to save himself.  The astronaut in Ms. Lackey's story makes a different choice.  The reader must decide which is the better.
