Freedom in Ohio by Jennifer Chang was offered by Poets.org's
Poem-A-Day on April 12, 2013. The poet reveals in her notes that her poem was inspired by the release of a menagerie of exotic animals by a crazed collector in Ohio. She juxtaposes the newly freed animals with a sort of self contemplation.
