"May Flowers" is a delightful piece of flash fiction to be found in One Revolution, a collection of short fiction by Jamie Lackey published in 2012. "A faerie man surprises a young girl about to enjoy a private picnic lunch."
The story is dedicated to Ms. Lackey's grandmother about whom she states in her introduction that "the story is almost as sweet as she is." Read this one if you have read one too many dystopian tales and need a gentle lift of spirits--you'll sigh and smile.
