Physicians are often special people--the good ones are, anyway. When someone consults a physician (a physician such as I, for example), it is usually to complain about something that is bothering him or her. I don't mind saying that it is nice when a patient takes the time to let me know that he or she cares about what I do. My latest "special person" greeting card poem was inspired by this sentiment.
