"City of Chrysanthemum" by the ubiquitous Nebula, Hugo, and World Fantasy Award winner Ken Liu appeared in Daily Science Fiction on June 12, 2013. "An artistic boy is bullied, while in a parallel story, perhaps in the boy's imagination (the story is not clear on this point), a princeling weaves dresses free from fear of derision."Is "City" two parallel stories, or does the persecuted boy have an active fantasy life? The structure of the story is one of abrupt shifts back and forth between the stories of schoolboy and prince, leaving the reader confused. 3 out of 7 rocket-dragons.
