Tang by Bruce Cohen was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on June 26, 2013. The poet reveals in his notes that he had reached a point where his poetry felt stale to him. To remedy this, he began reading translations of ancient Chinese poetry in order to find new inspiration. The poem that resulted is not only a musing on some of the different meanings of the word "tang" but is a song about the "autumn" of life.
