Review of "Wine Tasting" by Kim Addonizio
"Wine Tasting" by Kim Addonizio was offered by Poets.org's Poem-A-Day on September 3, 2013. Smell is supposed to trigger the most vivid memories, but this poem makes a good case for taste. It begins by describing the taste of wine, and then memory after memory is evoked--some wishful, some nostalgic, some poignant.
