New Poem: "9.0"

I was an active duty Air Force flight surgeon when the tsunami of 2004 struck Indonesia.  The Air Force deployed me as the medical support for a Tanker Airlift Control Element (TALCE) tasked to establish an airfield to receive supplies in Sabang on the island of We.  I kept a detailed diary.

I have decided to compose a book of poems based upon my experiences during that time, using my diary as inspiration and reference.  The working title for the collection is "A Wave of Poetry."  The first in what I hope will be a book of poems is "9.0," a reference to the magnitude of the earthquake that caused the tsunami.
