"Plasmodium" is the latest poem in my collection,
A Wave of Poetry. Malaria, caused by a parasite of the genus
Plasmodium, is ubiquitous in Indonesia. It was my job as the deployed flight surgeon to do everything in my power to ensure that nobody caught it.
