Poem of the Day: "Resolution" by the Editor

As even a cursory glance at my file photo makes obvious, I need to lose quite a bit of weight.  This year, I have resolved to do so, just as many people do at this time of year.  "Resolution" is a poem that I composed to inspire myself.  May it inspire other Friends of Eretz who have the same problem and share the same goal.

Resolution

Steven Wittenberg Gordon

I shall be as Saint George.

I have seen my dragon.

My fork shall be as his spear,

But, unlike Saint George, 

I will slay my beast

Only by setting my spear aside.
